Joint Smoking Rule Book

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Re: http://www.ink19.com/scr/htsearch?words=Original+Official+Joint+Smoking+Rules&format=long&method=and&sort=score&config=full_ink19&type=Unspecified

Greetings, my name is Simon Worman and I wrote that book. It is called The Original Unofficial Joint Smoking Rules, NOT The Original Official Joint Smoking Rules. Here is the reason . In the 60s there was a book called A Childs Garden of Grass; The OFFICIAL Marijuana smokers handbook, by Jack Margolis. I figured if Jack was OFFICIAL that I would be UN official but it was the most original thing I had ever done , hence Original Unofficial. If you look at the logo it clearly says original un official in a circle like an official rubber stamp. Just thought you might want to know, I hate seeing it misprinted Thanks, peace Simon Worman

Article of the Bardin Booger

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

The grocery store that was mentioned is incorrect. It’s Bud’s Grocery and always has been.I find it quite disrespectful and misleading. If that was corrected I’d feel much better. I’ve grown up in Bardin for the last 20 years and my family has been long time residents. Thank you for your time.

re: www.ink19.com/issues/october2008/musicReviews/musicG/golan.html

This message is for Carl Gauze. I’d like to sincerely thank you for the great review of my record “Silhouette.” I would have sent a message earlier, but I just now found the review. I’m currently working on a new record, and hopefully we can stay in touch. I’d love to send you a copy when it’s done. Thanks again!

Carl Gauze’s ineptitude

re: http://www.ink19.com/issues/december2008/musicReviews/musicG/davidGilmour.html

From his column on Live in Gdansk: “Looking old and grizzled, Gilmore, Waters and their back-up men play as if this might be their last show.” Carl, beyond the lack of first-reference first name for Roger Waters, you should know that he and David have a long-running feud, and the idea of him playing Gilmour solo compositions is beyond ridicule. But damn, son, you haven’t a clue. The brother from Floyd is keyboardist Rick Wright, who died just prior to the release of the album. Try harder, son …

Carl’s response: Gosh, Mom, I really WAS trying. I’m fully aware of the feud, and I’m also aware they partially made up prior to this show. Perhaps it was a real reconciliation, or maybe they just needed the cash, but in the vast pantheon of strange rock and roll bedfellows, Roger playing David’s material is no more unlikely that John Fogarty playing Proud Mary after his battles.

Paul Meade review of Wheels Within Wheels

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I know I’m coming late to your game. I apologize.

But — I have recently made it my business to scour the Web for any and all mentions of Rory Gallagher. (Guess I’m looking for the beginnings of a true and fair biography of Rory.)

Thus, I’ve just read Meade’s review of Wheels. It’s a fine and well-considered piece. Many reviews of Gallagher’s work are either slack-jawed fan jobs, or overly critical jeremiads. Paul Meade hits it just right.

Best wishes.

thanks Carl Gauze

Thanks for your kind words about our recent albums “Escape From Planet Love” and “Hot Tub O’ Blood”. Unlike many critics, you really seem to ‘get it’. We’d like to send you a package with everything else we’ve released – CDs and movies – just let us know your postal address.

Thanks again,
