Truth To Power

America is at that awkward stage: It’s too late to work within the system, but too soon to shoot the bastards: Claire Wolfe

58% say “Just make it stop”

The president’s approval ratings are at their lowest point in the poll’s history—30 percent—and more than half the country (58 percent) say they wish the Bush presidency were simply over

Oh, if only it were so easy. Click our heels Dorothy-style, and the evil warlord and his scowling minions would simply pack up and go home. Alas, this is of course not to be. But ponder on the fact that over half the country wants him gone- and this without significant investigations into the entire rotten, corrupt, criminal, treasonous Bush presidency. This same poll says that 64% take Congress to task for not being assertive enough in challenging the Bush administration’s conduct of the war. One does wonder what is holding the Dems back, now that the “100 Hours” has passed.

What have you done to end the war?

fuck, dude. i didn’t do any thing to start it.
i voted libertarian in the first place.

how do you not get thrown in jail? don’t break the law (or get caught if you do.)
how to you not start a war? don’t engage in one (or vote for those who do.)

this nation is asking the wrong questions. the question shouldn’t be “how do we get out of iraq?” it should be “what asshat lead us in to this thing, and how can we hang the treasonous bastard(s) by their toes in the public forum.”
