Bush in 2005 as part of his "small government" philosophy. After which she cnnabalized the agency leaving only one full-time employee in ncharge of toy safety. The real issue here is not Ms. Nord, but the philosophy of that party or that faction of that party which does not truly believe that government has an important role in the lives of our citizen's, and that all members of society should essentially be on there own when it comes to everything from product safety to heal care; knowing full well that those they are trully concerned with will have the resourses and best knowledge and information they need to protect themselves and be damned with the rest of society.
