Opposition from residents is strong; Invited into homes without warrants
Boston police officials, surprised by intense opposition from residents, have significantly scaled back and delayed the start of a program that would allow officers to go into people’s homes and search for guns without a warrant.
The program, dubbed Safe Homes, was supposed to start in December, but has been delayed at least three times because of misgivings in the community. March 1 was the latest missed start date.
Police would ask parents or legal guardians for permission to search homes where juveniles ages 17 and under are believed to be holding illegal guns. Police would only enter homes into which they have been invited and, once inside, would only search the rooms of the juveniles.
“I would say that the police commissioner has been a bit surprised by those that are not in favor,” Driscoll said. “We’re genuinely trying to save lives.”
Surprised? Really? Surprised that the rabble object to warrantless, unconstitutional confiscations of their means to protect themselves? Surprised that some people don’t want to be victims?

Our leadership, from the White House on down, by thought, word, and dead, consciously or un-, from Nixon to Bush 43, have given permission to these jack booted thugs to enter a person’s home without a warrant and take what they want, make whatever case they want.
Whether it’s giving what are essentially tanks to Clayton county law enforcement under the guise of either Homeland Security, the war on terror, or the war on drugs. Or taking a toddler girl from her home in North Carolina because she unwittingly left the house naked and chased a little kitten, two small innocent things doing what small innocent things some times do, and bankrupting the family in their attempt to regain custody of their daughter, or as simple as every jackass making a U-turn in the middle of Lavista road during rush hour traffic just because they don’t want to be inconvenienced to find a place to turn around, our world has run amok.

Dear Sirs,
You will not get away with pinning this on the Bush Admin and you know it. This is the liberal democrat’s dream coming true, that is: home-by-home searches for guns - and other stuff if guns aren’t found. A similar program in Washington, D.C., often murder capital of the country - and a gun-free (to non-criminals) zone.
It is EXACTLY what the NRA has been warning about for decades. Yet they’re ridiculed as being a bunch of kooks by the mainstream, liberal establishment and their sheep. Where is the ACLU on this? Are you idiots going to apologize to what’s left of Chuck Heston now? Are you going to acknowledge that Ted Nugent makes sense? Are you going to reject Rosie O’Donnell because she breathes your air AND for trying to humiliate Tom Seleck?
Is your savior Barry O going to protect against this kind of behavior or is he for it (hint: go with the latter)?
