Where to begin, where to begin… Ah! Is it spelling or language that’s important? English as the official language of the US of A wouldn’t be a bad thing, would it? But, as pointed out by this “moran,” proper spelling, usage, etc. is always a problem. But… we should not be arrant pedants up with which no one will put…

The Olde English didn’t care about spelling.
Take Shakespeare for example…
Of the 13 examples of his signature that are know to exist, no two are spelled alike and none are spelled the way it is above.
Of course they also used to just dump their crap out their windows into the streets so everyone could see it and smell it…
Then came the rats - and the plague.
The rats are already here. I’m just waiting on the plague.
