How does someone do that??? Holy crap! WTF, and lots of other euphamisms for explicatives. How can anyone – ANYONE – pretend to lecture ANYONE else on fiscal issues when they a) don’t have the sense to tone down the extravagance during an election run, b) don’t have the sense to be filmed shopping for fine clothing at Filene’s Basement, Syms, or by catalog from a discounter? and c) treat themselves like spoiled movie stars?

That one I’ll let pass. Why? Simply because runnning for office requires a presentable image – regardless of party. Edwards spent money on his look, Clinton did, Bush does, etc. So four grand for professional hair stylists and markup artists isn’t an issue. That’s a lot less than a TV news network pays for those services, too. You have to look good for the camera, on stage, everywhere. No biggee.
